several weeks ago a wrote on a politician’s Facebook page expressing my feelings about what he had enforced. Shortly after that a video call came through on my phone. I knew that it was suspicious as I never get video calls. So I did not accept it. Yesterday I made the mistake of again posting on his FB page. Almost immediately I was on my Yahoo Mail account and got a message that I had 2 unread emails so I tapped the link and immediately my laptop crashed. A tech guy came by and confirmed that I had a nasty virus so he cleaned it up and helped me with my security settings, for example my cache was not deleted everyday.
I have learned from this experience. First Facebook security is lax. Second if you have strong feelings about what is going on today, and who doesn’t, don’t express them on Facebook
My phone number can easily be obtained from a Google search. It is called data mining. There are people that will provide your personal information for pennies. And even the largest search engines are not secure. We live in scary times folks so you must do what you can to keep yourself safe
