seniors aging gracefully

here’s the statistics

kids have fallen behind in their reading scores and can no longer write in cursive

Americans have health issues, the rate of obesity is extreme and we seem unable to combat viruses

maybe 50% of the population live paycheck to paycheck

America has become an island, losing many friends such as Canada

the military is depleted

there is a despot running the show and basic human rights are no longer respected

having a fair election is at risk

so sadly I believe we are witnessing the fall of an empire

while the writers of the constitution knew the importance of checks and balances for the survival of a democracy they had no idea that one day there would be a Hitler that wanted to take over the whole planet, they had no idea that money and technology could influence elections, they did not anticipate the rise of a madman that would destroy our democracy
