seniors aging gracefully

I feel blessed to have grown up then

sex drugs and rock and roll

it seemed like, as Dylan said, the times they are a changing

great leaders – JFK, MLK, RFK

great music – the Beatles, Dylan, Traffic, Hendrix, the Stones

people began to be concerned about the environment, world peace, and the future of the planet

yet there were horrible things that occurred – the assignation of JFK, MLK and the VN war

not to mention crazies like Mason, Bundy patty hearst

I guess it was the best of times and the worst of times

still I wouldn’t trade it for growing up these days when we are witnessing the consequences of global warming, the resurgence of Nazism, and violence on the streets as well as worldwide struggles to survive
