This may make some people uncomfortable but I am not big on flags. I see them everywhere these days, people want to express their love of america. While at times I love my country this is mainly when I encounter the amazing natural wonders here. But lately I am uncomfortable with saying I am an American
When I was young, I stopped pledging allegiance. I just felt odd about pledging a flag. My allegiance is to this planet to nature. I have travelled the world and have connected with people vastly different from me
So do I consider myself an American, I was born here but I consider myself to be a human being above all
