Yesterday I adopted a shelter dog named Penny. It felt like it was meant to be as tjat was the name of my dog from my childhood. She is a pit bull and while I would normally shy away from that breed as I have heard many storied of pit bulls attacking people,half of the dogs in the shelter were pit bulls, which I understand is typically

She is shy and so sweet, she had been at the shelter for 16 months and is 8 years old so I decided she desperately needed a home I worried because I knew my cat would be upset and just what I expected, the adjust has been rough but I believe with time they will be friends

I have always owned dogs and had preferred them as pets until I got Arlo 4 years ago. I must admit cats take a while to understand but soon I began to understand what Arlo was trying to say to be and he has become my best friend. I realive that while Penny is desperate for love, I cannot neglect Arlo.

I believe cats and pit bulls often get a bad rap. Cats are aloof and independent while pit bull can be aggressive and are somewhat intimidating looking. I believe most of the issue with pit bulls stem from the fact that there are too many breeders raising them in inhumane conditions and therefore they become aggressive to survive
