PERU THAILAND CAMBODIA

when you are retired you have the opportunity to travel

I love to travel both in the states and abroad

it opens your mind, not only do you experience another country’s culture, food, and people, but if you get out of the cities, you can enjoy the natural environment

when I was in my 20’s I traveled several times to Europe, the middle east, and north Africa as well as islands in the Caribbean. When I became a scuba diver, I went a few times to Mexico

In recent years I have travelled to Thailand, Cambodia and Peru. All were amazing but my most recent trip to Peru was definitely exceptional. To experience Machu Pichu was something I will never forget. Plus the people there were so kind and the food is exceptional. I like travelling with Roads Scholar, their trips are well planned with excellent accommodations and tour guides. I’ll admit getting there can be a challenge as it involves multiple plane transfers over the course of a day.

Next year I am looking forward to a trip on a riverboat down the Amazon, can’t wait.
